Growing Data Demand Met With Concerns from Businesses

As consumers become increasingly tech savvy at exponential rates, the demand from them has been met with concerns from businesses. The greatest thing that consumers are looking for right now is data – at minimum, they want to know about a company’s products, services, and social media connections at rapid rates, and many companies are struggling to meet these consumer needs.

Data Demand

As more and more consumers demand information about your business, how will you meet their needs?

Meeting these management and technical challenges has to be done with a certain amount of finesse. Engaging in social media and data demands most include both personality and hard facts about the business. Much of this consumer interaction now takes place through mobile devices and internet engagement, a trend that will only grow significantly during upcoming years. Panera Bread is just one company that is seeing major issues arise in this area as it faces the challenge of providing WiFi to millions of its customers. In fact, AT&T reports that 85 percent of Fortune 500 organizations won’t be able to take advantage of this demand to achieve a competitive advantage by 2015.

As a business grows, it must make big adjustments to the ways it meets the needs of its consumers. Readers, what do you think of the changing needs of consumers? Do you think consumers will continue to demand more convenient data from companies?
